In the past few weeks there has been a lot of turmoil and conflicts. Even though I have my own political views; I choose to share those views only with my close friends and family.
I do not wish to empower the negative by bringing more attention to that which is under scrutiny, therefore, I will shift your attention to that which deserves to be focused upon and empowered, our own free will!

Often we take the actions of others and declare them as our own, when in fact, God has given us our “own” free will. With that free will, we choose and make decisions that will affect our family, work, finances, church and even our community!

The enemy doesn’t want you to think that you have the power to make a difference. You do! It’s all about the “one” and that one begins with YOU!

How do you choose to respond when life comes against you? Do you revert and hide, staying depressed and feeling useless? Do you get angry as fear rises up within? It’s the flight or fight method. We have a choice of which we use. But there is another option…We can choose to place it in Gods hands and allow Him to lead and guides us! Allow Him, to stand up for us and vindicate us!

I am so thankful for our own free will! I’m thankful that God lets us choose which path we take. Choosing not only strengthens us, it weakens the devil as you continue to make the choice to follow after Christ! With each decision that you make not to voice your opinion but to allow God to fight your battles; it strengthens your trust and faith in Him!

If you are encountering a close relationship with God, others should know what you stand for without you saying a word! Your actions, love, and deeds should be able to speak volumes!

“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.” (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ NLT)

So for this Independence Day, I’m thankful for the sacrifices of the people that chose on their own free will, to protect, fight, and even die for this great Country!

I’m thankful for the choices that we are given to make every day and that so many takes for granted!

I’m most thankful for Jesus Christ who was the ultimate sacrifice and His choice and free will chose to give us life, with great mercy and grace!

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (‭Joshua‬ ‭24‬:‭15‬ AMP)

We live in a great nation, and I’m declaring on this day, all of Gods promises, all of His blessings, and all of His provisions that He has graciously bestowed upon us!!!

Happy Independence Day!
