The Power of a Written Word

I love it that all throughout the Bible, Jesus has given us tools to use!

How do you read the Bible? Do you look at it as a drudgery? Is it a task in which you put off and then never do? This is how I looked at the Bible for years before I started building a relationship with God!

I never understood what I read. A lot of it did not make sense to me as a person that tried to figure everything out and make sense of it all. But all that changed once I built a relationship with Him! Because HE is the one that opens your eyes and reveal His Word, not us! The enemy uses these lies to hinder us from growing in Him, because the Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God! Romans 10:17

I was up early one morning talking with the Lord and He was speaking to me about several things, but in our conversation He reminded me not to forget His Word, to read it, digest it, know it. Because the Word will set us free!

THE ENEMY HATES A WRITTEN WORD!

See when a word is written, it is concrete! Putting it in writing finalizes it. It makes it official. I have learned to write everything down so I can remember all that was said to me. So I have a journal just for my conversations with the Lord! I have a prayer journal as well. The enemy cannot stand when we write down all of our prayers that God has answered. All of the conversations you have with the Lord. All of the amazing things He has shown you and completed in your life!!

NO!

He HATES it!

Why??

When a word is written, it’s proof. All you have to do is go back and read it. If it is written, there’s no argument what was said. The truth is revealed for you to see.

With a written word, the enemy cannot manipulate your mind! He cannot tell you lies that God doesn’t hear you when you pray! He cannot twist words around to cause confusion!

I find this however most interesting! If you will read this next part very carefully, it will set you free of the torment the enemy has done to you for years, toiling with your mind!!

In Matthew 4:1-11 when Jesus was being tempted by the devil, I always wondered why He continued to say, “It is written” I figured just one time would have been enough but Jesus showed me what He was doing when He said that. He was reminding Satan that he can not manipulate a written word, and especially, Gods word!

So I tried this! The enemy TRIED to attack me by making me feel things in my body trying to cause worry and fear to overcome me like it had so many times in the past but because of this revelation, I proclaimed Gods Word to him! I proclaimed and thanked the enemy for attacking me because it proved that Gods Word was true and forever settled in heaven because His Word declared that NO weapon shall be formed against me and prosper and for the simple fact that I’m still here devil, tells me you are a liar! Thank you for attacking me devil because you showed me that God is with me no matter what and that His Written Word is true when it says in Romans 8:38 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Thank you devil for confirming Gods Word because I KNOW He is here with me!!

I just had a good little conversation with the devil, and you know what??? I INSTANTLY FELT HIM FLEE!!!!

It makes such a great difference when you are fighting FROM victory instead of fighting for victory!

Romans 8:37 says it like this, “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”

The enemy is already defeated! Why are you continuously fighting for victory when it’s already ours?!

You need to stand up, gird your loins and put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD!!

Ephesians 6:10-18, “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

It’s not physical, it’s mental!!!

It’s a mindset!

It’s a perspective!!

He has given us all power over the enemy because He has given us HIS WRITTEN WORD!

It’s settled, it’s proof, it’s powerful!
